The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor issued a decision to adopt a new organizational structure for the ministry consisting of 12 directorates, including 7 specialized technical directorates and 5 technical supportive and administrative support ones, and defines the primary tasks of the directorates within a task document that takes into account the internal system of the ministry.

In a statement to SANA, the director of administrative development at the ministry, Imad Naameh, explained that the new structure has raised the level of the executive directorates in the ministry, which will have a positive impact on their work and reduce the level of administrative procedures and give the ministry more technical tasks, as two technical directorates have been added, namely the Directorate of Non-Governmental Organizations and the Directorate of Measurement and Quality, the latter aiming to monitor Impact and quality of services provided.

Naama indicated that the new approved structure of the ministry took into account the reduction of the administrative level in the interest of the technical side, as it transformed the internal control and management accounting directorates into departments and added departments to a number of directorates, such as adding the Department of Coordination with Integrated Sectors to the Directorate of Planning and International Cooperation and the Departments of Women, Children and Elderly Care to the Services Directorate Social.

Naama pointed out that the new organizational structure reduced the number of the minister's assistants to two, namely an assistant for social affairs and another for labor affairs only. With regard to the ministry's media office, it was transferred to the Department of Information and Public Relations, affiliated with the Directorate of Communication and Executive Support.

A number of ministries issued new organizational structures, successively, based on what was decided at the Administrative Reform Conference, which was held between June 20-30.
