The Palace of Culture in the city of As-Suwayda hosted a press conference this evening to announce the launch of the feature film “Al-Fazza 25” in conjunction with the third anniversary of the battle of honor and heroism in the face of the terrorist attack of ISIS on the 25th of July 2018 on the villages of the eastern and northern countryside and the city of Suwayda, in order to commemorate the souls of the martyrs who confronted him.
The conference, which was organized by Al-Basalt Foundation for Film and Television Production and Artistic Distribution, during which an advertisement promo was presented from the idea and directed by Qusay Al-Aysami, a scenario and dialogue by Maan Dwaier. The organizers of the work pointed out that Al-Fazaa 25 is a narrative film of the events that took place in the governorate on that day and the treacherous terrorist attack, and it simulates what happened, including human stories through characters drawn from life and events that address the conscience of the recipient from the heart of the pain experienced by the people of those villages.
The film also deals with the repercussions of that day on the lives of the people and the state of love and solidarity to defend the land and show, while highlighting the social life, values and qualities they possess.
The director of the Basalt Foundation, film director, Qusay Al-Aysami, pointed out that the film Al-Fazaa 25 expresses the customs, traditions and heritage of the governorate and embodies the heroism and sacrifices made by its sons on that date.
He pointed out that the duration of the film exceeded 60 minutes, and its mass shows will begin in early August in Syria, Lebanon, the UAE, Venezuela, America, Kuwait, the Netherlands, Germany and other countries.
While director and actor Maan Doueir said that the film simulates what happened on the ground with its characters, time and place, and it is a legal, semantic and symbolic state where each person from the film turns into an icon.
The film stars a number of artists, including Rana Jammoul, Maan Dwaier, Majid Radwan, Ghassan Al-Dibs, Ayman Ghazal, graduates of the Basalt Academy for the preparation of actors, as well as people who participated in the battle.
It is noteworthy that the Basalt Foundation for Film and Television Production and Artistic Distribution was established in 2016 and has produced many films, including (or Positive), which participated in the Short Film Festival in New York and won the Best Director and Film Award (12-5), which participated in the Sharjah Festival and won the Best Director Award for 2017.
