In the south, there is a threat of “extreme storms!”: The DWD has issued advance weather information for severe thunderstorms. Storm in the night on Sunday: flood areas spared
The flood areas in Rhineland-Palatinate and North Rhine-Westphalia were largely spared from heavy rain and thunderstorms on Sunday night.
On the other hand, Belgium was hit particularly hard by storms.

In Stuttgart (Baden-Württemberg) the city center was flooded by the rains.
The water could not drain because of a blocked gully. A lightning strike caused a power outage in Salem near Ravensburg on Saturday evening at around 5.15 p.m., the police said on Sunday.
