Change in leadership at the Echinger Greens: Ulrike Friedrich and Thomas Liebethal are the new speakers.

Your predecessors will concentrate on their work in the local council in the future.

Eching

- The local association of the Echinger Greens is starting the next two years with a new board team: On Wednesday evening, new elections were held at the annual general meeting in the ASZ Eching. The previous spokesman, Axel Reiss, and his colleague Lena Haußmann will in future concentrate on their work in the municipal council and therefore no longer stand for election. The newly elected board will consist of the speakers Ulrike Friedrich and Thomas Liebethal, treasurer Michael Obermeier and Martina Hentschel as assessors.

At the annual general meeting, Axel Reiss looked back on the past two and a half years.

He recalled the most important political events of the time, such as the local elections, which would have meant a lot of work for the local association.

This effort was rewarded with an excellent result.

Three new councilors - Angelika Pflügler, Lena Haußmann and Axel Reiss - now together with Siglinde Lebich and Leon Eckert make up the parliamentary group of the Greens.

Leon Eckert was elected 3rd Mayor and Axel Reiss was appointed speaker for citizen participation and digitization.

Reiss: "Put the task in younger hands"

“I have been the spokesman for the local association since 2014. After more than a year as a local councilor, I think it's time to put my job in the local association in younger hands, ”said Reiss. The new spokeswoman Ulrike Friedrich has been a member of the Echinger local association for over a year and a half. As the mother of three children, she wants to stand up for the issues of education and inclusion in Eching. "I would also like to build on my previous work with the new board."

Thomas Liebethal is a father of two, has lived in Eching since 2005 and has been a member of the Greens since 2017.

As a spokesman, he wants to focus on the traffic turnaround and bicycle traffic in Eching.

“There is still a lot of room for improvement in Eching, both in terms of bike-friendliness and local transport.” The districts must finally be connected in such a way that every child can take the bus to the music school and not just the parents' taxi.

The number of members is growing steadily

The re-elected treasurer Michael Obermeier has a positive view of the upcoming elections: “It's nice to see how the number of our members is growing steadily.” Martina Hentschel recently joined and is looking forward to her future responsibilities at the Echinger Greens.

Leon Eckert, Bundestag candidate for the constituency of Freising-Pfaffenhofen-Schrobenhausen, congratulated the new board.

He is happy about "fresh energy" for the election campaign.

"Since the company was founded in 2013, there has been a wonderful energy that has brought us far through additional motivation and strong election campaigns."
