The maintenance workshops of the Al-Hasakah Electricity Company completed the repair of the Masaken 20 kV line and returning it to service.
The general manager of the company, Eng. Anwar Okla, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the aforementioned line, which feeds a number of neighborhoods in the city of Hasaka, was subjected to a technical failure as a result of a well drilling rig digging on the path of the line, which caused cutting and damage to the cables. The technical workshops completed the required maintenance and electricity was re-fed after completion of repair work.
Eng. Okla called on citizens wishing to dig shallow wells to review the company to inquire about the existence of any ground tension lines in the area to be drilled, noting that this does not entail any financial burdens in order to preserve the safety of citizens and those in charge of drilling and the safety of ground cables.
