In Brazil, the streets demand the dismissal of Jair Bolsonaro

"Fora Bolsonaro"

("outside Bolsonaro"),

("vaccines"),

("food on the plates"), were the rallying cries of tens of thousands of demonstrators who took to the streets on Saturday for the fourth time in recent weeks.

These protests took place across the country at the behest of opposition parties, unions and social movements.

The objective was to pressure Congress to open impeachment proceedings against President Jair Bolsonaro because of his calamitous handling of the Covid-19 health crisis which has so far killed 55,000.
