Motorcycling is in mourning.
Hugo Millán
, a 14-year-old Spanish rider who competed in the FIM CEV Repsol European Talent Cup, died after suffering an accident in a race, at the Motorland circuit in the Aragonese town of Alcañiz (eastern Spain).

We regret to announce that our Hawkers European Talent Cup rider, Hugo Millán, has died after a terrible accident
. The event occurred in the first HETC race at the MotorLand Aragón circuit, where the fifth round of the FIM was held. CEV Repsol, "he wrote in a statement on his website Cuna de Campeones, a team for which the Huelva rider was racing.
There were 13 laps to go to the end of the test when Millán crashed while marching in fourth place and
was crossed in the middle of the track

While trying to get up to get out of the ideal radius, Millán was run over by the Polish Milan Leon Pawelec, who unfortunately could not do anything to avoid the situation as he came out of a blind corner and was turning with the peloton at high speed.
After the accident, the race was stopped with a red flag and the young man from Huelva was treated on the track and later transferred by helicopter to the Zaragoza Hospital.
After 9 o'clock (Argentine time), the sad news of the death from the injuries caused in the accident was released.

All the activities that were taking place in Aragon, where there was an Argentine presence led by Marco Morelli, were suspended as a
sign of mourning
for the death of Millán.
The European Talent Cup is one of the categories of the FIM CEV, an international championship for teenage riders from which they can make the leap to the Motorcycle World Championship.
