The IDF, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Finance have agreed on budgets and deadlines for the Intelligence Division to move to the Likit junction in the Negev, Walla learned. That 12,000 soldiers are expected to serve in it, will begin as early as 2022 and will be handed over to the Armed Forces in 2025 - in parallel with the delivery of the Southern Command camp and the ICT Division in Beersheba, which will contain 6,300 soldiers.
According to the agreement, by 2025 there will be one high-speed train from Tel Aviv to Kiryat HaModi'in, and the electrification process on the Israel Railways has already begun on the route to the Negev.
It was further decided that the journey of the permanent servants should not exceed 70 minutes.
It was also agreed that in 2027 two trains from Tel Aviv will reach the Likit junction within an hour, five years later there will be four high-speed trains, and in 2035 - seven trains, four of them direct.
The second part of the infrastructure will include arriving in Be'er Sheva and from there arriving in Kiryat HaModi'in within a seven-minute drive, after a transport bus or light rail has passed.

To this end, negotiations were held between the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Defense, led by the head of the Planning Division, General Tomer Bar, and the Ministry of Finance, during which it was agreed about a week ago that the special budget for service conditions would include NIS 745 million.

The budget will be for 100 elite talents, 250 more talents, more than 1,300 cyber experts and 3,000 technologists who will receive preferential terms for the transition and for the signing of special service plans.
The budget will include grants, vehicles and additional benefits.
It was further agreed separately that residential preference would be given for permanent servants in the Negev, including purchasing groups and military neighborhoods.
General Heiman is working for the benefit of the transition, and to be precise, the plans to establish the campus in the Negev offer a discount to each unit with its own planning route, which will eventually be integrated with the main plan.
The emphasis placed by the head of the Armed Forces on the transition includes clear goals: strengthening intelligence superiority, preserving quality manpower, a multidimensional and synergistic environment, and realizing the national vision for the empowerment of the Negev.
