Planegg

- The Planegg fire brigade association has elected Josef Reithmeier as its new chairman. At the general meeting in the gym of the Feodor-Lynen-Gymnasium he received 50 votes on Saturday, Sonja Stolz, the previous chairwoman, received 39 votes. In the future, Martin Fladerer will be at the commandant's side as deputy. In addition, Matthias Kellner was elected as secretary and Andreas stepslochner and Michaela Budau as 1st and 2nd treasurer. The extended board includes as assessors Bernd Eierle, Benedikt Rößle, Christopher Besier, Mathias Singer, Anna-Lena Dürrschmidt and Peter Speckbacher.

According to Sonja Stolz. the Planegger fire brigade got through the Corona period well. Nevertheless, there were quite a few cuts. The election of the cash auditor, for example, had to be made in writing because no meeting was possible at the end of the year. Motions to amend the statutes were put off until they could be properly discussed on Saturday. In 2020 the 50th anniversary should be celebrated with the youth. At the start there was a reception in the Kupferhaus in January - further celebrations and excursions were no longer possible. Exercises took place, but in small groups. The cozy get-together, which is part of the fire service life, moved into the background. Commander Martin Heizer can now say: “There were members who tested positive, but Corona was not passed on while on duty.“He was very pleased with the high level of willingness to vaccinate the members. Among the active, the vaccination rate is around 90 percent. But on Saturday he was not satisfied with that and appealed to the remaining unvaccinated: “One or the other can still think about it. Every vaccination counts, also considering Delta. ”He certainly doesn't want to force his comrades, but he does want to make them think.

In terms of the type and number of deployments, the pandemic had little impact. Heizer rates operations in the past year as average. "The first lockdown was rather calm, but then everything normalized." At the beginning of 2020, the fire brigade was involved in the distribution campaign of the district of Munich. Heizer had a few numbers ready: one out of eight calls was a fire. In 2020, the Planegger fire brigade deployed a total of 247 times and was therefore on duty for 3,103 hours. In addition, there are 2561 own training hours, 290 at the state fire brigade schools and 622 at the fire brigade school of the district of Munich. The troop has a total of 91 active members over 18 years of age. Another 19 comrades are involved in the youth group.

According to Commander Heizer, 52 percent of the active population over 18 are wearers of breathing apparatus. That is not enough for the commanding officer: “The number of people wearing breathing apparatus must be increased significantly again.” The lower proportion is also due to the modular training of troops (MTA) and breathing protection training, which have been delayed by the pandemic.
