The branch of the Syrian Foundation for Bakeries in Deir ez-Zor has completed the rehabilitation project of the first automated bakery in the Hamidiya neighborhood in cooperation with international organizations.
The director of the Foundation’s branch, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Assaad, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the maintenance work and rehabilitation of the bakery, which was vandalized and looted by terrorist organizations, has been completed and will enter service with a production capacity of fourteen tons per day, which will contribute to securing bread for the people returning to their homes in neighborhoods of the liberated city, pointing out that the number of automatic and reserve bakeries increased from one bakery at the end of 2017 to 12 bakeries currently in service, producing about 85 tons of bread per day.
The project manager, Eng. Hassan Al-Agaili, explained that the rehabilitation works included the entire construction of the bakery, and included the replacement of ceilings, restoration of walls, floors, doors, windows, electricity and water installations, administrative offices, water tanks, external fences and sales outlets, in addition to installing a modern production line.
