Numerous thunderstorms on Saturday evening seem to be followed by an equally wet Sunday in Bavaria.
The DWD warns in some regions with level 3.
Munich - The weather in the Free State remains changeable.
On Saturday (July 24th) severe thunderstorms moved through the regions of Bavaria, especially in the south.
But also Lower Franconia and Middle Franconia were hit by the storms late in the evening.
This morning the weather had calmed down and in many places even the sun was showing.
Now the DWD is again issuing severe weather warnings for numerous counties.
Some regions are already colored red on the weather map, which means warning level three.
Thunderstorm in Bavaria: Warning level 3 already applies to some regions - DWD with official warning
The DWD issues an official storm warning of “severe thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail” for several districts.
The district of Traunstein and the Berchtesgadener Land in the southeastern part of Bavaria are affected by warning level three.
In the southwestern part of Bavaria it affects the districts of Lindau, Oberallgäu with Kempten and parts of Ostallgäu and Unterallgäu.
The current warning is currently valid until 5 p.m.

The DWD points out possible dangers in these regions: “Lightning strikes life threatening!
In isolated cases, for example, trees can be uprooted and roofs damaged. ”There could also be floods and even landslides.
The DWD therefore has an important appeal: “Close all windows and doors!
Secure items outdoors!
In particular, keep a distance from buildings, trees, scaffolding and high-voltage lines!
Try to avoid staying outside!"
A warning of severe thunderstorms also applies on the southern edge of the Alps, but so far only with level two.
Thunderstorm cells also move from the north to Upper Franconia and further towards Middle Franconia.
There is an official warning of "heavy rain".
