Dachau - “An important evening, which is about recognition”, was the invitation of District Administrator Stefan Löwl to the district's honorary reception.

Five women and seven men accepted the invitation, and more were invited.

One of them refused his honor in advance in protest: Peter Barth, asylum worker from Hebertshausen, was to be honored for his commitment, but only one day before a well-integrated refugee he was looking after had been handcuffed to the district office and then deported (we reported).

KLAUS THALHOFER

Klaus Thalhofer has been with the Altomünster fire brigade since January 1, 1984 and equipment manager since 1992.

He procures the necessary material for the eight fire brigades in the municipality.

But he also supports the training of foam trainers, equipment maintenance personnel and machinists at the district level.

His 28th machinist course with around 650 machinists took place in June with his help.

EDITH DASCHNER

Edith Daschner, who was a local councilor in Bergkirchen from May 2002 to April 2020, was missing.

The “Madam Kultur” was the second mayor of Bergkirchen from 2008 to 2020.

Due to the main initiator of the working group Culture and Encounters, Bergkirchen is considered a cultural community.

Daschner organizes the Advent market, launched the neighborhood help and runs it on a voluntary basis to this day.

She initiated the school path helper project, was a founding member of the Bergkirchen children's park and from 2001 to 2018 in the church administration of the Bergkirchen parish and from 2008 to 2018 church carer.

In 2020 she became “Cultural Representative” and launched the Friends of the Bergkirchen Hoftheater, on whose board she sits.

BRIGITTE HINTERSCHEID

Primary school teacher Brigitte Hinterscheid from Dachau has always been involved in voluntary work, and even more since her retirement in 2015, as Löwl said.

For 30 years she was active in several board positions of the local SPD association.

Hinterscheid sang for over 50 years at the Dachau Liedertafel, of which she was chairman from 1996 to 2011.

She has been honorary chairwoman since 2013.

She has been a member of the Dachau town band from the very beginning and has been a member of the Ampertalern Dachau since 2006.

Since February 2016 she has been involved in the shop service of the Fair Weltladen Dachau and since 2018 in the shop management team for educational work.

On their initiative, Dachau applied for the title of Fair Trade Town.

MARIA KALTNER

The alternative practitioner Maria Kaltner is chairwoman of the supervisory board of “Health Region Plus”, the cooperative to strengthen health care in the Dachau district.

In addition, she is a member of the advisory board of Frauenhilfe-Frauennotruf Dachau e.

CHRISTINE UNZEIG

The former ÜB and CSU city councilor Christine Unzeit joined the Association for Disabled People and Friends of the City and the District of Dachau in 2003 and was involved in the search for sponsors.

In 2011 she became treasurer and after the death of Anneliese Lassok she became chairwoman of the association in 2012.

With the project "Art and Encounter" she wants to present the artistic talents of the association members to the public.

Unzeit also participates in the Dachau regional committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria, in the Volksbank representative assembly, in the Mint campus Dachau, in the vocational school advisory board and in the working group for school and business.

LUDWIG GASTEIGER

Until 2019, Ludwig Gasteiger was the shooting master of the Alt-Dachau shooting club.

In addition, as chairman of the Dachau Soldiers and Reservists Comradeship, he campaigns for peace.

In this capacity he maintains contacts with the Klagenfurt soldiers and warriors' association as well as several associations in the Netherlands and Austria.

For his “international commitment to peace” he was awarded the Austrian “Flame of Peace” in 2018, which Prince Albert of Monaco and Prince Laurent of Belgium had previously received.

In 2015 the city council awarded Gasteiger the Dachau Citizen Medal.

JOSEF MITTL

District Administrator Löwl praised Josef Mittl from Petershausen as a helper in the Corona emergency for the Dachau health department, where he particularly takes care of IT problems.

But Mittl was mainly honored for his well-known work as "Mister DB-Bahn", officially the station sponsor of the Deutsche Bahn Station and Service.

From 2013 to 2019, Mittl was Petershauser Municipal Councilor, until 2017 Chairman of the Free Voters Petershausen and held the office of Chairman of the Kollbach Warriors and Soldiers Association.

JOHANN BAPTIST FENK

Johann Baptist Fenk, pastor from Pfaffenhofen, was also excused.

From 1988 to 2018 he was a co-organizer of the youth work of the Glonntal Bible Congregation.

Since 2000 he has been the oldest person in charge of the Bible congregation and leads the Bible study group for all.

MADELEINE DENET-WIENFORTH

HELMUT ARROW

With Helmut Pfeil from Schwabhausen, Löwl honored the local council (1996 to 2015), youth officers (from 1996 to 2002) and chairman of TSV Schwabhausen in 1929 (1989 to 2015).

Pfeil has been TSV honorary chairman since 2016.

He was the table tennis department head from 2002 to 2018. Thanks to him, the TSV is a base for particularly talented youth table tennis players at district, district and association level.

Thanks to him, the women's team always plays in the first or second table tennis league.

KATHARINA JOHANNA PROBST

Since 1995 the self-proclaimed “parish house witch” Katharina Johanna Probst has been the administrator and caretaker of the Einsbach parish home.

Since 1994 she has been the cook at the annual World Women's Day of Prayer, which is of national importance.

From 1990 to 2006 she held various offices in the Einsbach parish council.

KARL DIETRICH

For years, Karl Dietrich from Weichs campaigned on a voluntary basis for his SV Weichs, of which he was the head of the football department and introduced perimeter advertising in 1990.

In 2008 he became chairman of the entire association.

In this capacity, he initiated the renovation of the sanitary area of ​​the old sports home and thus created a modern sports and community center.

Under his direction, the sports grounds were expanded to include a youth soccer field with changing rooms and sanitary facilities.
