The summer is hot and hot in many districts in Hong Kong this (25th) afternoon. The high temperature of 35 degrees Celsius was recorded in Tai Mei Tuk, Ta Kwu Ling, Yuen Long Park, Tai Long and Sheung Shui.

Showers and thunderstorms triggered by high temperatures are affecting the coast of Guangdong. The sky over Hong Kong has changed from sunny to cloudy, and the sky is gray. However, rainbows appear in some areas near Tseung Kwan O and Sai Kung, attracting many citizens to "check in."

The Observatory predicts that the hot weather will last for at least two more days, and the sun will not be the last weekend.

High temperature triggered showers and thunderstorms continue to affect Guangdong

Today, Hong Kong was generally cloudy with a few showers and thunderstorms. At first, the rain was relatively heavy in some areas. However, in the afternoon, the temperature in many parts of Hong Kong rose to 33 degrees or above. The very hot weather warning is now in effect.

The Observatory predicts that the wind will be mild in Guangdong in the next one or two days, and the weather will still be very hot. The highest temperature in the urban area is expected to reach 33 degrees on Monday and Tuesday (26 and 27), and Taguling may further rise to 37 degrees.

However, showers and thunderstorms triggered by high temperatures will affect Guangdong. The Observatory expects that there will be a few showers and thunderstorms tomorrow, ushering in a cloudy and uncertain working day.

An active southwesterly airstream will bring unstable weather to the South China coast in the middle and late part of this week. The Observatory expects cloudy weather with showers and a few thunderstorms from Friday (30th). Rainy days will be ushered in the short holiday. It’s best to keep an umbrella when you go out!
