The Afghan Ministry of Defense announced that 16 Taliban militants were killed and 12 others were wounded during an air raid today in Logar Province, eastern Afghanistan.
The Xinhua news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that 16 militants were killed and 12 others wounded during an air raid carried out by the Afghan Air Force on a Taliban position in Bul Alam district of Logar province.
The Afghan army announced yesterday that 11 Taliban militants were killed in an air strike by Afghan planes in Badakhshan province in northern Afghanistan, while the Afghan Ministry of Defense announced the elimination of 33 Taliban militants in Jawzjan and Helmand provinces, north and south of the country.
