The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population recorded 39 new infections and 6 deaths from the Corona virus during the past 24 hours.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Dr. Khaled Mujahid, said in a statement that the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has so far risen to 284,024, and the total deaths to 16,487.
Mujahid indicated that 122 people recovering from infection with the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, bringing the total of those recovered to 227,612 people to date.
