In the new elections, Mayor Stefan Korpan renounced the position of association chairman, which he traditionally deserves.

- For the first time, the annual general meeting of the Penzberg volunteer fire brigade took place in the vehicle hall so that more than 100 firefighters could take a seat in compliance with corona.
Elke Zehetner, chairwoman of the fire brigade association since 2014, was pleased about the great interest.
She listed the club's activities: Carnival bells, duck races, anniversary and Törggelen as well as the active senior group.
Many actions also affected the fire brigade gangs (children up to 7 years) and the children's fire brigade (8-13 years), which have existed since 2018 and from whose ranks young people have already joined the youth fire brigade.
In 2020 the club had to be completely abandoned.
This year, in addition to the holiday program, the duck race at Schwadergraben (September 18), the fire brigade anniversary on September 5 and a "Törggelen to go" on September 8th / 9th are planned.

Penzberg's fire brigade currently has 111 active members, the proportion of women is 18 percent, announced commander Christian Abt. There are also eleven members of the youth team and eleven boys and nine girls in the children's fire brigade.
In addition to these active members, the association also included passive, supporting and honorary members.
The association now has 292 members, 64 of whom are women.
The fire brigade recorded more than 7,000 operating hours in 2019, of which 4,270 hours were spent on 190 missions.
The number of technical assistance rose again.
The 132 missions include opening doors, pumping out basements, but also helping with serious traffic accidents.
The largest of the 24 fire operations was the fire in the club house of the Maxkron game association.
The fire brigade is increasingly called to fire alarms.
"Even if there are often false alarms or it is only a question of smoke development, this often prevents larger deployments," says Christian Abt. The increasing number of burning bicycle batteries, which cause great damage, is a cause for concern.
In 2020, the Penzberg Floriansjünger moved out for 170 missions.
A disaster management team was formed in mid-March, the practice and training operations were discontinued, masks became compulsory, the firefighters were divided into two groups that had no contact with one another so that only one group had to go into quarantine in the event of an infection.
In addition, the crew in the vehicles was reduced by a third.
Exercises and courses could only be offered in summer.
The fire brigade only had 537 training hours and 2616 hours of operation.
With 112 technical assistance deployments, including 25 door openings, 18 fires, a few false alarms and fire alarms, it was a rather quiet year.
With the emergency fire fighting group vehicle (HLF), a state-of-the-art command vehicle and a team transport vehicle, both of which were purchased in 2019 and a trailer in 2020, a gap in the vehicle fleet had been closed with which the fire brigade was also equipped for operations in difficult terrain, explained Christian Abt new jackets were purchased.
It is also gratifying that the city has approved two fire brigade equipment control rooms. Jan Pfeil, the chief of the Penzberg police, emphasized the cooperation with the fire brigade on a professional level but also the camaraderie. These are two reasons for a common blue light center. The elections came as a surprise.
It was not Mayor Stefan Korpan that was proposed as the first chairman, but Joachim Kollmus.
In his welcoming address, Stefan Korpan justified this with the great experience of Joachim Kollmus from many years as deputy chairman.
The mayor was elected second chairman as requested.
Michael Günl replaced Peter Abt as treasurer.
Monika Schweiger remains the deputy.
Petra Sobotta and Ulrich Kattler took over the cash check.
Jan Heinemeyer and Sebastian Bergel were elected as confidants for the men's team, and Rüdiger Plankensteiner was elected as confidante for the management ranks.
