Accident in Regensburg: man drives drunk e-scooter and crashes into BMW

In Regensburg, an e-scooter and a car crashed into each other.

It turned out that the scooter driver was drunk. 

Regensburg - On Sunday (July 25th) at 00.50 a.m. there was a traffic accident between an e-scooter and a car on Gabelsbergestraße at the corner of Landshuter Straße in Regensburg *. This is what the police * wrote in a message.

The 34-year-old driver of the e-scooter was driving on the wrong side of the lane on Gabelsbergerstraße and bumped head-on into the BMW of a 25-year-old rural district resident.

Coming from Landshuterstraße, this had turned into Gabelsbergerstraße and could not recognize the wrong-way driver in time.

The scooter driver was easily injured as a result of the impact.

Slight property damage occurred on both vehicles.

It turned out that the scooter driver was drunk.

As a result, he was taken to the police station and his blood was drawn.

He is now awaiting a complaint about traffic hazard.
