The Marine Police carried out an anti-smuggling operation in the waters west of Hong Kong yesterday (26th). During the period until 10 pm, a suspicious speedboat was found driving at high speed off Lung Kwu Tan, Tuen Mun, and the Marine Police stepped forward and pursued it.
It is reported that five men on the speedboat abandoned the boat and jumped into the sea during the pursuit, but four of them were rescued and sent back to the Marine Police Base for illegal entry and detained for investigation. Another person was missing. The fire boat and the Flying Service helicopter also disappeared. Joined the search, but today (27th) at 1:30 am, there is still no missing man.
The speedboat with cargo involved was towed to the shore of Long Kwu Tan, and then to the Tai Lam Marine Police Base to assist in the investigation.
At that time, there were several packages of objects on the boat, which could not be ruled out as smuggled goods.
