Alfred Baur, chairman of the Kolping family Au, welcomed new members to the management team at the annual general meeting.

On the other hand, it was time to say goodbye to President Pastor Berthold Heller.

Au / Hallertau

- The Kolping family Au is going into the next three years of the association with some changes. While Alfred Baur and Victoria Hausler were confirmed in their function as chairmen, they said goodbye to long-time treasurer Christina Maier and to President Pastor Berthold Heller. After this meeting there will also be a new secretary for the association: Katrin Kratzl will take over this position - Christina Spring, who has held the office for the past four years, will take over from Katrin Kratzl.

Manuela Müller was unanimously elected as the new treasurer in the most recent meeting. She had already taken over the office on a temporary basis in the past few months and was thus able to get a good look at the cash balance. While the number of members continues to grow and there are currently 208 Kolpingers, there is a minus in the cash report: The cash report for the 2020 financial year shows a total annual loss of EUR 6.885.69. The reason is the lack of events during the corona pandemic and thus the lost income. Since the association has saved up a good cushion, the board of directors was subsequently unanimously discharged. Christina Maier thanked her successor and now knows that the cash register is "in good hands".Alfred Baur thanked Christina Maier again for her long and conscientious cash management - Maier has been managing this since 1999.

Commitment recognized by Baur

There was another surprising highlight of the evening under the heading “Wishes and Requests”. Diocesan President Karl-Dieter Schmidt had come from Regensburg especially for the assembly to honor Alfred Baur for his 25 years as first chairman. In his laudation, he emphasized Baur's intensive commitment over the years: whether theater performances - including the "Witch von Au" for the 650th anniversary of the market - the centenary in 2013, the opening of a youth meeting point for the Au community, the sponsorship of the Wichtelgruppe, the training of Auer market leaders, the cultural program of the KolpingKulturKreis or, most recently, the management of an association through a pandemic while keeping contacts under controlFor all these actions and many more, Baur received a plate of honor and a cake from his members.

The President of the Kolping Family also said goodbye.

As a thank you and reminder, Berthold Heller received a voucher and a doormat for his camper from the board of directors.
