The art exhibition hosted by the Exhibition Hall at the Arab Cultural Center in Al-Hasakah today included various caricatures of the young artist Abdullah Obaid in his first specialized exhibition.

The exhibition, which is held within the framework of a cultural event organized by the Directorate of Culture, the branch of the Arab Writers Union and the Safsaf Al-Khabour Cultural Society, expressed the artist Obeid’s visions for many political, economic and living issues, in addition to the crimes of the American and Turkish occupations against the people of the Syrian island and the lies of Western allegations and the falsification of facts about the terrorist war on Syria.

Director of Culture Abdul Rahman Al-Sayed said in a statement to SANA reporter that the directorate is keen to diversify the content of the exhibitions held, in addition to attracting young artists and highlighting their artistic experiences and presenting them to the public, based on the role of cultural institutions and associations by paying attention to new artists to follow the cultural and artistic process in the governorate, pointing out that the exhibition The most beautiful are many of the issues that the people of the governorate suffer from, most of which result from the presence of the occupiers and their tools.

The artist Obeid pointed out that he harnessed his talent in the art of caricature through drawings in which he participated in the exhibition with the aim of embodying the suffering of the people of the province in the presence of the occupiers, their aides and tools and the terrorism that they tried to plant in Syria in order to steal its goods and fight its people even in the simplest necessities of life such as water, electricity and bread.

The head of the Safsaf Al-Khabour Association, Ahmed Al-Hussein, stated that the exhibition has an artistic, political and patriotic nature related to national issues and the constants of Syria and the terrorist wars it faces from multiple sources and sides, and the artist’s vision, which was embodied in a direct artistic framework that combined art, thought, attitude and creativity, as his drawings shed light on the crimes of terrorism and the occupiers and the time The same is optimism about his defeat so that Syria will remain steadfast and victorious despite all challenges.

The audience expressed their admiration for the contents of the exhibition, where Mona El-Sayed Hammoud explained that the artist was able, through his drawings, to reach the hearts and minds of the audience through the various social, artistic and political ideas that reflect the connection of art to society and its role in expressing the suffering and hopes of people.

In the context of the cultural event, next Wednesday, the writer and storyteller Muhammad Baqi Muhammad will be honored at the Arab Cultural Center in the city of Al-Hasakah due to the great efforts he made in the service of literature in the field of story and novel.
