This is what awaits Cardinal Angelo Becciu, 73, who is the flagship indictment of an unprecedented trial opening at the Vatican on Tuesday, and the outcome of which will not be known for months.
The charge relates to a financial scandal linked to a hazardous investment with funds from the Holy See - 200 million euros - in a building located on the luxurious Sloane Avenue in London, in 2014.

The cardinal of Sardinian origin, who was number three in the Vatican from 2011 to 2018, is not alone.
Ten others appear alongside him, including nine Italians and one Swiss, mostly businessmen or financiers.
The responsibility of Cardinal Becciu in the case of the London building remains to be proven, however.
According to a single internal accuser, he would have intervened, in extremis, on this file.
