Looking through the history, Hong Kong has a mysterious pattern in winning Olympic medals, and there are medals every other year.

Hong Kong's first Olympic medal appeared in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. "After the Wind" Li Lishan won the gold in women's windsurfing.
In the next 2000 Sydney Olympics, the Hong Kong team failed to win a medal, but by the 2004 Athens Olympics, they had another harvest. "Ping Pong Doubles" Li Jing and Gao Lize won the men's table tennis doubles silver medal, which was also Hong Kong's first men's Olympic medal.
In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Hong Kong did not win a medal, but by the 2012 London Olympics, Li Huishi, "the god of the bull", won the medal for Hong Kong again after 8 years. He won the bronze medal in the women's track cycling race and saved Hong Kong. A set of Olympic gold, silver and bronze medals.
