Hong Kong men's foil represented Zhang Jialang in the Tokyo Olympics and won a gold medal for Hong Kong today (26th).
Zhang Jialang made a big speculation in the top 16 competition, the current world number one Italian star Kogoni advanced, and it was the first time that Hong Kong fencing has reached the top 8.
Afterwards, against Russian Olympic Committee swordsman Borodachev, Zhang Jialang thrilled to win 15:14; the semi-final defeated Czech swordsman Zubinich 15:9 and successfully reached the final.
In the final against Italian swordsman Daniele Garozzo (Daniele Garozzo), Zhang Jialang became more and more courageous and finally won 15:11, winning the first gold medal for Hong Kong this year and the second Olympic gold medal in Hong Kong history.
When Zhang Jialang fought fiercely in Tokyo, the citizens in Hong Kong also watched the live broadcast with holding their breath. As the tip of the sword flickered on the TV screen, there was deafening cheers.
