Tunisian President dismisses ministers and suspends parliament: what is happening in the country?

The Tunisian president dismissed the prime minister, the defense minister and the justice minister on Monday. What happens in the country?

The President of Tunisia, Kais Saied, dismissed the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Justice on Monday after several months of dispute over the economy and the management of COVID-19.

The leader of the Islamist Ennahdha party and speaker of Parliament described the move as a coup.
