"Pay or we will take you and your father off": Relatives have been charged with protection offenses

An indictment was filed today (Tuesday) against Hassan Abu Ras, and Sabri Abu Ras, relatives from the town of Ilut in the Lower Galilee, accused of committing extortion by threatening construction workers in front of whom they worked.

The two, aged 46 and 25, are engaged in the field of earthmoving and quarrying.

According to the indictment, during the months of May-July 2021, against the background of the complainants' victory in a construction project in Bat Yam, a conflict arose between them and the contractors who won the tender, and they threatened the latter, pressured them, attacked them and used violence against them. .
