The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced the registration of 578 deaths and 18,999 new infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours.
In its daily report, the ministry stated that the total number of infections in the country rose to about 19.7 million, and deaths to 55,502.
Brazil recorded the second largest death toll from the virus in the world after the United States and the third highest number of infections after the United States and India, and for weeks it has been facing sharp rises for both indicators, while the World Health Organization warned of the increasing rates of virus spread in this country “dangerously” and urged all Brazilians to Adhere to preventive measures to stop its spread.
