The Association for the Protection of Animals posted a post on Facebook stating that it received rescue on the 1st of this month, stating that 5 cats were found trapped in a waterway at Kam Pu Road, Kam Tin, Yuen Long.
Inspectors of the Association of Association for Relations arrived and rescued all the cats after an hour of rescue. At that time, all the cats appeared panicked and extremely nervous. They were also weak, with heavy hair and long nails, and some of the cats had eyes inflamed.
The next day, the SAIC inspector rescued another cat at the site.
All 6 cats were checked and treated by the veterinarian of Ai Xie.
Ai Xie said that because the six cats were covered with excessively long, heavy and severely knotted hair, the veterinarian shaved and treated them one by one. The hair shaved from the six cats weighed more than one kilogram. It contains excreta, food, leaves and cat litter.
At present, three of the cats in stable condition have been sent to temporary care and are gradually recovering.
The remaining 3 cats are still under treatment at the Ai Xie Center.
A spokesperson for the Association pointed out that at present, the most hope that cats can be treated and recovered as soon as possible so that they can be adopted.
When the Association was handling this case, seeing the helpless and desperate eyes of the cat, I felt extremely heartbroken and sad about it.
Generally speaking, cats seldom enter the water channel by themselves. Therefore, Ai Xie has reason to believe that the cats have been neglected and abandoned.
The Association is currently following up on this case. Due to other clues, the public is urged to provide information or informative reports. You can contact the Association at 2711 1000.
