Around 20 liters of water per square meter can come from the sky here in a short time.

DWD thunderstorm warnings in Germany: Rhineland-Palatinate and Bavaria particularly affected
One area in particular on the DWD warning map lit up red in the early afternoon.
In Rhineland-Palatinate, south of Koblenz, the rain could therefore be particularly heavy.
But according to the DWD, there could also be heavy rain, sometimes lasting several hours, in Bavaria.
According to the Bavarian Flood Service, floods and extreme flash floods cannot be ruled out.
Only in the direction of central and eastern Germany does a friendly zone stay dry and warm for the time being.
Temperatures in the foothills of the Alps reach lows of 18 to 12 degrees.
In the far east it can get up to 29 degrees.
According to the DWD, further thunderstorms can occur on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
The weather situation is expected to remain volatile until August.
