Elites Club Qianhai Entrepreneurship Competition 12 selected companies each get 600,000 subsidies to enter the Greater Bay Area

The Hong Kong government is pushing young people back to the Mainland for development and seizing the development opportunities in the Greater Bay Area. The Hong Kong Elite Association and the Liaison Office of Qianhai Administration Bureau in Hong Kong organized a two-year "Entrepreneurship Elite@前海" competition. The goal is to select 12 teams.

The Hong Kong Elite Association and the Liaison Office of Qianhai Administration Bureau in Hong Kong organized a two-year "Entrepreneurship Elite@前海" competition. The goal is to select 12 teams and provide each team with a subsidy of 600,000 yuan. Entrepreneurship support and incubation services help them to start businesses in the Greater Bay Area.


Ling Junjie, chairman of the Hong Kong Elite Club, said that the entrepreneurial teams participating in this project will also participate in the Hong Kong competition of the Qianhai Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

The winning team in both competitions can win up to more than 1 million yuan in prize money.


Ling Junjie introduced the event at a press conference today (27th), stating that elites will provide mainland entrepreneurial policy training, legal and regulatory training, and consulting services for participating teams to help young people realize their entrepreneurial dreams.

Hong Weimin, the permanent honorary chairman of the Elite Club, said that he was present today as the chief liaison officer for Hong Kong affairs of the former Maritime Administration. He mentioned that the Qianhai Administration has organized entrepreneurship competitions since 2016. This is the sixth time and has won awards. Including smart glasses, rapid cancer test, the country's first 5G robot, etc.

He pointed out that the Qianhai Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has a total of 7 million yuan in prize money. This time the two competitions are held together, which greatly increases the prize money.

He emphasized that the participating teams must be clear and easy to understand when introducing the plan to the judges, and the founders must be present to explain in person.

He Peilin, the convener of the plan and the director of the Elite Club's Innovation and Technology Research Institute, pointed out that one of the goals of the plan is to help young people from all over the world establish a mutual exchange platform.

He mentioned that in addition to the entrepreneurial competition, the plan also includes a series of seminars, the topics will correspond to entrepreneurial problems, such as entrepreneurial considerations, how to "from 0 to 1, from 1 to 100" in product development, and also recruit successful entrepreneurs, Industry leaders share their experience.

The 12 selected enterprise teams received 600,000 yuan in phases

In this competition, 12 corporate teams will be selected and each will receive a subsidy of 600,000 yuan. They are 9 teams that focus on operations and have established companies in the "Corporate Growth Team" and 3 teams in the "Start-up Team" that focus on entrepreneurial concepts.

Huang Lifang, vice chairman of the Elite Club, pointed out that the arrangement of this ratio was due to the discovery that the corporate growth group had a higher chance of successfully starting a business in the past five years of competition.

The 600,000 yuan subsidy bonus will be distributed to 12 teams in stages.

Huang Lifang explained that they have set different stages of entrepreneurship. The stage goals include opening a company in Hong Kong and opening a bank account in Hong Kong, opening a company in Shenzhen and opening an account in Shenzhen, and participating in designated exhibitions.

The conference will distribute funds according to each stage, and hope to encourage all teams to do a good job in every step of their business.

Huang Lifang said that the contestants need to be permanent residents of Hong Kong between the ages of 18 and 40. The business plan needs to meet the characteristics of each region, and there are no bad records or property disputes in Hong Kong and the Mainland.

As for the eligibility for the competition, Huang Lifang said that participants need to be permanent residents of Hong Kong between the ages of 18 and 40. The corporate plan needs to meet the characteristics of each region, and there are no bad records or property disputes in Hong Kong and the Mainland.

The competition will initially screen the participating teams from August to September, and it will end in more than two weeks.

Huang Lifang pointed out that there are currently 20 teams that have signed up, but in the past most of the teams applied for the competition before the deadline, so it is difficult to estimate how many contestants there will be.
