The journalist of the Spanish newspaper ABC Camila Acosta said this Tuesday on her Twitter account that she was once again imprisoned by the Cuban State Security and later released.

Acosta, who is under house arrest in Cuba, had been jailed on July 12 for four days and released after recording and reporting on protests in that country.

In an interview with CNN, the journalist related that during her detention in Havana she was held incommunicado and in conditions of lack of hygiene, heat and in an environment infested with mosquitoes.

CNN unsuccessfully tried to contact the Cuban consular authorities in the United States to obtain a reaction to this new complaint from the journalist.

For its part, the newspaper ABC, for which Acosta works as a correspondent in Havana, reported on Tuesday that the journalist was detained outside the house where she is staying, that she was interrogated for several hours and that she was later released.

Hours before, Acosta had written on Twitter: “Today I have been in forced home confinement for 10 days, with 24-hour surveillance, after spending 4 days in jail, held incommunicado, accused of public disorder for reporting the July 11 protests.

I am not free, on the contrary, I am awaiting trial ”.
