The B 301 was blocked on one side for the past two days.
The reason: The bridges were examined for damage.
The daily newspaper was allowed to be there.
Zolling
- At the beginning of the week, the two bridges over Amper and the Amper Canal near Zolling were subjected to a precise structural safety test.
To ensure safety, the Freising State Building Authority has this measure carried out at regular intervals.
Christina Seidel and Karsten Weiß use their hammer like a stethoscope.
The two bridge inspectors stand on an approximately seven-meter-long metal bridge, which is part of a so-called under-bridge vehicle.
Meter by meter, the metal footbridge moves along the underside of the bridge over the Amper Canal near Zolling.
Seidel and Weiß knock on the concrete to make out voids.
Areas in which moisture has penetrated the building could become critical, they both explain.

When the water freezes and expands in winter, great force develops that causes the concrete to flake off, says Seidel.
The construction load test engineer records the discovered damage in a plan that she always has to hand.
Sketches are made, and photos of the respective area are taken in the event of major damage.
Sensitivity and patience are required for this work.
When Seidel and Weiss have done their job, a ladder surrounded by steel scaffolding goes back up onto the bridge.
Every six years, the construction parts are thoroughly inspected for possible damage as part of a so-called main inspection, says Thomas Jakob from the Freising State Building Authority, which looks after a total of 133 bridges on federal and state roads in the Freising district.
No major damage to the Zollinger bridges
There was no major damage to the bridge over the Amper near Zolling, which was built in 1973.
The road attendants are on site more often than the engineers for load testing, says Jakob.
They would report immediately if any irregularities were discovered during the visual inspection.
Yesterday, Tuesday, the bridge over the Amper Canal at the level of the REWE store was subjected to a detailed inspection.
The traffic on the B 301 was therefore regulated in this area by a traffic light.
