Still good news for Italy.
After the bronze in women's Judo and women's sword comes the silver in weightlifting conquered by Giorgia Bordignon in the women's 64 kg category.
The blue lifted 232 kilos.
The gold medal went to the Canadian Maude Charron, the bronze to the Taiwanese weightlifter Wen-Huei Chen.
Two more bronzes for Italy from Tokyo 2020. They belong to Maria Centracchio in judo 63 kg and to the women's sword team. The total number of blue medals thus rises to 11 in four days of competition. The judoka who lives and trains in the province of Isernia beat Dutch Juul Franssen to the golden score in the final for bronze, while the blue of the sword (Rossella Fiamingo, Federica Isola, Mara Navarria and Alberta Santuccio) prevailed 23-21 on China. During the night, Federica Pellegrini made history by qualifying for the Olympic final of the 200 freestyle for the fifth time, a goal never reached by any swimmer so far.
