Sebastian M. is still missing.
The 61-year-old is probably hiding somewhere in the forest near Holzkirchen.
Now the Miesbach police has taken over the case and hopes that witnesses can give clues about his camp.
- Where is Sebastian M. hiding? Has something happened to him? The 61-year-old has been reported missing for over two months. After an argument, M., who suffers from an intellectual disability, left the Regens Wagner care facility in Erlkam near Holzkirchen on May 30th. Since then he has been seen twice in the Erlkam area, but even large-scale searches with dogs and helicopters were unsuccessful (we reported). Now the Miesbach police has taken over the case and asks the population to look out for possible "camps" of the missing person, especially in and around Holzkirchen.
As reported by the Kripo, Sebastian M. disappeared several times for several days in 2003, but always returned home.
At that time, he spent most of his runaway time in the forest.
The investigators assume that the 61-year-old is hiding somewhere in the forest this time and moves away from roads at night.
The 61-year-old is considered shy and does not pose a threat
The missing person presumably spends the nights in camps they have built themselves or in existing camps.
According to Kripo, open, secluded huts or barns are possible.
The 61-year-old is considered shy of people.
In a press release, it is to be expected that M. will want to flee if spoken to.
The investigators emphasize, however, that the 61-year-old poses no danger.
The missing person left his first sign of life on June 8th when he deposited his three-wheeled bicycle in a wood near Mölgg-Aberg. Sebastian M. should therefore only be traveling on foot. On June 20, he was seen again, only scantily dressed, not far from Erlkam. He was able to evade the search teams again. Since then, there has been no trace of the 61-year-old. The police are now also tracking whether he is withdrawing money from his account anywhere, but have not found any clues.
Sebastian M. is hard of hearing and speaks indistinctly.
He is also probably limping due to knee surgery.
He is tall (over 1.80 meters) and should be noticed as rather neglected after spending weeks outdoors.
The Kripo is interested in anyone who knows camps, huts, barns or similar in the Holzkirchen area, especially in remote areas, where M. could spend the night.
