Damascus, SANA- The activities of the scientific program of the Conference of Syrian Researchers in the Homeland and Expatriate 2021, which will be held today, kicked off today

Today, the activities of the scientific program of the Conference of Syrian Researchers in Homeland and Expatriate 2021, organized by the Higher Commission for Scientific Research, under the title “Towards a Knowledge Economy” were launched at the Al-Assad National Library in Damascus.

The conference sessions revolve around the role of Syrian researchers at home and abroad through the presentation of several researches targeting topics in biotechnology, information technology, smart systems and nanotechnology. The conference is accompanied by an exhibition of scientific posters in which researchers from Damascus and the governorates participate.

Director of the Supreme Commission for Scientific Research Majd al-Jamali said in a statement to SANA’s delegate that the conference, in its third edition this year, has turned into an annual scientific forum in which Syrian minds converge to review the lessons learned and the experiences of all countries that have overcome their crises and exited from them, and that possessing science, knowledge and technology is an essential pillar in the steadfastness of those countries. States and maintain their dignity and dignity.

Al-Jamali pointed out that this year's conference is characterized by a mixture of actual physical lectures and virtual lectures, and aims to achieve scientific research partnerships, because it is a meeting point between the ideas presented by researchers, pointing out that the conference witnessed a large presence of researchers with very important technological axes, where expatriate researchers from 17 countries participated. .

The activities of the scientific program of the conference will continue until the 29th of July, including the presentation of many scientific researches.
