Despite lightning and thunder, Impala Ray performed at the summer wonder in Freising.

- At hardly any other event of the summer miracle did the organizers look so meticulously to weather and severe weather warnings as at the Impala Ray concert last Saturday. Because although a heavy thunderstorm had been announced by 9 p.m. at the latest, the organizers decided against a cancellation. In an emergency, however, they had an evacuation plan in their pockets, which fortunately was not needed. The organizers were well prepared and distributed free rain ponchos at the entrance.
Nice concert weather works differently: Impala Ray had barely chased the first notes through the courtyard garden when it began to flash and thunder quite violently.
It rained and rained, but the announced storm with storms and hail largely failed to materialize, or passed Freising.
The uncomfortable weather doesn't bother the audience at all
“It's crazy, the weather!” Also emphasized Rainer “Ray” Gärtner, who was in the meantime raining into the stage and who wondered whether there could be a “short” with a view to the electronic equipment.
The audience was not bothered by the uncomfortable weather, most of them had already jumped up to dance to the finest indie world music sound.
The band shone with worlds of sound, which at times reminded a little of Paul Simon's “Africa” phase and yet also something completely different: namely a fantastic blend of international music and Bavarian city sound.
