Fifteen Palestinian prisoners continue their hunger strike to protest the continuous crimes of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners, and despite the deterioration of their health conditions, the battle of the empty intestines continues to gain freedom and break the occupation.
The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority warned that signs of fatigue, fatigue and weight loss began to appear on the striking prisoners, namely Salem Zaidat, Muhammad Omar, Mujahid Hamed, Mahmoud al-Fosfous, Kayed al-Fasfous, Raafat al-Darawish, Guevara al-Namoura, Maher Dalaysha, Alaa al-Din Ali, Ahmed Abd al-Rahman Abu Sal, Muhammad Khalid Abu Sall and Hussam Taysir Rabi’i. Fadi Al-Amour, Ahmed Hassan Nazzal and Miqdad Al-Qawasmeh. This suffering is exacerbated by the attempts of the occupation to force them to stop their strike by transferring them to solitary confinement cells and depriving them of visiting.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Huda Al-Namoura, the mother of the prisoner Guevara, said: “Every day that passes since his hunger strike, the danger to his life increases. I don’t know anything about him after the occupation put him in solitary confinement. They are worried and afraid for him and his fellow prisoners.”
She added: "Julia, his eight-month-old child, saw the light and her father was behind the bars of the occupation.. She did not see him.. I did not hear his voice during Eid al-Adha.. I did not hug him as all mothers of the world embrace their children during the holidays. The occupation is committing crime after crime against us and the international community is watching." The injustice we suffer and the oppression we live in silence.”
Guevara's father interrupts his mother, explaining that the strike exhausted him and lost a lot of weight and suffers from severe pain..He is a professional football player and one of the main players in the Palestinian football team..Many of his sports dreams were..I fear for him every moment..I can't sleep and all What I hope is to see him free and the rest of the prisoners who will continue to persevere and sacrifice until they gain their freedom and break the dungeons of the occupation.
The case of the prisoner Namoura is the case of all the prisoners on hunger strike, as Khaled Al-Fasfous, the brother of the two captives Mahmoud and Kayed Al-Fosfus, states that their health conditions are very critical, especially Mahmoud, who suffers from multiple diseases, including stomach ulcers, anemia, and a broken jaw as a result of his torture in the occupation prisons, where he was arrested more than ten Several times since he was a child as young as 13 years old, and the total years of his detention is 14 years.
The spokesman for the Palestinian Prisoners Club, Amjad Al-Najjar, confirmed that the prisoners continue to fight the battle of the empty intestine to extract their rights and obtain their freedom that the occupation robbed and to win their dignity, which all its arbitrary practices fail to break. He called on the international organizations concerned with prisoners’ affairs to pressure the occupation to release them, especially since most of them suffer from chronic diseases. They are in dire need of treatment and are subjected to deliberate medical neglect, as are all sick prisoners inside the occupation prisons, whose number exceeds 750, a large part of whom needs urgent surgeries.
The specialist in prisoner affairs, Nashat Al-Wahidi, indicated that the prisoners are on hunger strike in protest against the continuous crimes of the occupation against 5,300 Palestinian prisoners who suffer physical and psychological torture in order to draw the world’s attention to their tragedy and write the most wonderful epics of victory in the face of the occupation, appealing to the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross to urgently intervene to save the lives of the prisoners Especially the sick, women and children, and to stop the occupation’s violations of international and humanitarian law and all international conventions and treaties.
