During the storm on Monday evening, 25 fire brigades, THW and BRK were in action.

The communities of Valley and Warngau were particularly hard hit.

The district office warns of further storms.

The incident report from the district office:

The summer of the thunderstorm has now also hit the Miesbach district harder for the first time: On Monday evening, a strip between Darching (Valley community) and the district boundary in Irschenberg was devastated.

The communities of Warngau and Weyarn were also badly hit.

Local residents report over 40 liters of rain that fell within just under 20 minutes.

Hail and squalls caused damage to an as yet unknown extent.

Crisis team comes together - full alarm also for the THW

25 of the 36 fire brigades in the district were alerted to the north of the district.

Support came from the fire brigade associations in the districts of Munich and Rosenheim, each with a weir.

For the THW, a full alarm was triggered for all forces in the district.

The BRK was also part of the crisis team, as well as the support group and a catering unit.

At the Holzkirchen fire brigade, a coordination office was set up to relieve the Rosenheim integrated control center, which took over the coordination of the numerous on-site operations.

A total of 608 volunteers worked through all the missions.

At 10:09 p.m., the district office determined Article 15 of the Disaster Protection Act - the preliminary stage to a disaster.

The finding of this article qualified district fire chief Anton Riblinger to the local head of operations.

He has extensive competencies and can better coordinate emergency services on a regional basis.

He was supported by his support group Local Operations Leader, who, for example, kept a situation map of all major operations.

At 12:40 a.m., Article 15 BayKSG was repealed.

Mudslides near Oberwarngau and on the Weyarner Berg

Numerous smaller streets had to be closed locally due to flooding.

The federal road B318 in Warngau and the district road MB 17 near Thalham were closed, the A8 motorway was hardly passable due to a hailstorm.

At Oberwarngau and on the Weyarner Berg, there were minor mudslides.

Around 70 cellars flooded

Around 70 cellars had to be pumped out.

Some of the water flowed knee-deep on the streets.

Preparations have been made to evacuate the residents of several districts in the community of Weyarn.

Fortunately, these preparations did not have to be used and all residents stayed in their homes.

District office warns of further storms: "Secure houses and cellars"

Especially with regard to the thunderstorms that are forecast today and in the coming days, the district office urges all citizens to exercise caution, to secure houses and cellars and not to put themselves in danger!
