Homs-Sana
The value of sales of Al-Waleed Spinning Company in Homs during the past months of this year reached about 3 billion pounds of cotton and mixed yarns resulting from the sale of more than 380 tons.
Mudar Roumieh, director of Al-Waleed Spinning Company in Homs, explained to SANA Economic Bulletin that the company’s total production of cotton and blended yarns during the first half of this year amounted to 568 tons, worth five billion and 903 million Syrian pounds, including 357 tons of cotton threads, worth 3 billion and 213 million Syrian pounds. In addition to the amount of 211 tons of combed mixed yarn, worth two billion and 690 million pounds.
Roumieh pointed out that the technical staff and workers in the company are following up on the installation of the final spinning machines that were brought in from the Al-Khumsiya Company in Damascus to replace the company’s old machines dating back to 1976 with the aim of modernizing and developing the company’s work and maintaining the quality of production.
