At the municipal council meeting in Fischbachau, the committee discussed the renewal of the road from Grub to Kogl - and found an agreement only with difficulty.
Fischbachau - The connecting road from Grub to Kogl in the municipality of Fischbachau is around 48 years old.
The damaged and slipped piece of tar will probably no longer reach its milestone birthday - if it is up to the community officers.
Committee postpones contract award for urgent renovation
Although the experts were appointed by the local council and had attended an on-site meeting, not all councils at the meeting of the committee agreed with the recommendation for rapid redevelopment.
The majority lacked a cost basis.
What happens to the stretch of road now?
Hans Seemüller (FWG), who chaired the meeting as second mayor, summarized: "The municipal council has basically decided in favor of the overall measure." In addition to the new road surface, this also includes slope protection and an exchange deal with the owner of the "Kaltenbrunn 1" property .
In the area of its biogas plant, the municipality is allowed to build five public parking spaces - and in return, asphalts the driveway to the landowner's private biogas plant.
Tendering and working out the order of the measures will probably be part of the September meeting
But: The unanimous decision initially only affects the continuation of planning by an engineering office.
The tender itself will be part of the September agenda after the summer break, when the office has submitted initial cost estimates.
While route officer Martin Bacher (FWG) called for the planning office to be deleted and instead to obtain quick offers himself, Seemüller ultimately convinced: "In order to advertise orders, we need a basis."
Not all construction projects in the Fischbachau community have run smoothly in the past - most recently, disagreements between a farmer and the community in the renovation of the Leitzachtal bridge resulted in delays.
