Burning drugs worth millions and undercover in the depths of the area: the combined operation on the Jordanian border
The IDF and the Border Police launched a "safe willow" operation last week, with the aim of increasing enforcement in the border area.

The IDF and the Border Police launched a "safe willow" operation last week, which aims to increase enforcement in the area.
During the operation, security forces located dozens of drug-growing greenhouses worth millions of shekels, and thwarted the attempted infiltration of five suspects from the Jordanian border into Israeli territory.
The operation activity has not yet ended.
The operation, conducted directly by the commander of the Southern Command, Major General Eliezer Toledano, took place in cooperation with IDF soldiers, the undercover unit, the ATV unit, and Border Police volunteers, the Israel Police Air Force, and other security forces.

In the first phase of the "Safe Willow", security forces operated deep in the area, where they located the greenhouses.
Police and Border Police took samples for questioning, and the greenhouses were destroyed.
The second phase included deploying covert forces deep in the area with advanced technological means, to prevent drug smuggling and weapons and to prevent infiltrators from infiltrating the country. Of the five suspects from the Jordanian border - who were captured by Border Police undercover operatives and IDF soldiers, and transferred for questioning.
