The economist José Luis Espert, candidate for the Avanza Libertad Front, states that Argentina had "many deaths that could have been avoided, where the geopolitical issue had more influence in deciding who to buy vaccines from."

In an interview with

Clarín

, he maintains that Alberto Fernández's is "a terrible government."

And that it would be necessary to discuss in Congress the possibility of making him "a political trial" for handling the coronavirus pandemic.

He also assures that Axel Kicillof is the "center of the economic and epidemiological crisis" that the country is going through.

And that it is necessary to transform Mercosur into a free trade agreement, re-privatize the companies that Kirchnerism nationalized and carry out a comprehensive reform of the State.

-What is the priority in this electoral campaign, a month and a half from the PASO?

-The enemy to defeat is populism, which is represented by Kirchnerism.

It is important that we liberals are in Congress.

Even if we remove some bench from Juntos por el Cambio, that should not create fear for anyone, because if the discussion is "republic or Venezuela", we as liberals are just as defenders of the republic as Juntos por el Cambio.

And economically we are superior, because we have ideas of how to solve the situation, while they were an economic failure.

The real enemy in the country is Kirchnerism, because it is populism.

-How would you rate the government of Alberto Fernández?

-It is a lousy government, which has destroyed the economy with a cave-dwelling quarantine and has seriously neglected health, last year not testing anyone and this year delaying vaccination due to a geopolitical issue, as it has just been recognized (Cecilia ) Nicolini in his letter to (Vladimir) Putin.

Not only because of the Vip vaccination program, but also because the vaccination issue has been conditioned by geopolitics, it is necessary to discuss in Congress whether a political trial can be carried out on the President, because there were many deaths that could have been avoided, where the geopolitical issue had more influence to decide who to buy vaccines from.

-And what do you think of the Buenos Aires government of Axel Kicillof?

-Kicillof is the center of the economic and epidemiological crisis that Argentina is experiencing, because he is a decisive person in the Executive Power, due to his special relationship with Cristina (Kirchner).

This is how I see it.

That is why I proposed to make a great opposition front that included Randazzismo, (Margarita) Stolbizer, Together for Change, but that did not happen because some members of that coalition, such as the radicals and the Civic Coalition, opposed it.

-Are we going towards a polarization between Together for Change and the Front of All?

-It is important that people get out of the gap a bit, because if they always vote for the same people, things will not change.

We are facing a political class that fails, so it is important that they open up to us, who come from the same world as the people who vote.

What idea should Cristina Kirchner have of people's suffering, if she has lived from politics for so long?

José Luis Espert and Carolina Piparo, the first two candidates for deputies of the Avanza Libertad Front.

-What laws do you plan to promote if it reaches the Chamber of Deputies?

-We must transform Mercosur into a free trade agreement and that Argentina have a free hand to sign free trade agreements with the rest of the world.

At Avanza Libertad we believe that the world is a business opportunity and we must stop using it as a lender, as it has been until now.

Also the reform of the State, which implies a redefinition of federal co-participation and the re-privatization of all the companies that Kirchnerism nationalized.

This reform aims to eliminate the fiscal deficit, the main cause of all our crises, and the reduction of expenses to lower taxes, because people do not give more to pay taxes.

The third package of laws has to do with labor reform.

-What are the modifications that you propose in the workplace?

-Have labor laws of more than half a century ago is critical to explain why there are six million workers in black, who are 40% of workers. It is necessary to modify them all: that of severance pay, the law of employment contracts, that of labor conventions, that of labor associations and that of social works. Those are the five labor laws that would have to be modified. They are our projects to work in our mandate as deputies for a new Argentina, applied by countries where people live well. We have to do a mega reform, because there is a light at the end of the tunnel, there is hope, a sun that rises, but these things must be done so that things go well. To continue doing the same as so many decades ago, which is an elephantine state, the same labor laws, would be to repeat the failure. You have to make a big, big, big turn. There is an agenda that we also have on issues of education, health, security and on the electoral issue.

-What would you change about the electoral system?

-The sheet list must be eliminated, replacing it with the single paper ballot.

And divide the country into many electoral districts, so that there are fewer people voting for 257 deputies.

In the province of Buenos Aires, for example, we have eight electoral sections for 17 million voters, so more sections could be made so that the citizen knows who to vote for and the ghost train does not get on the list, so that there is more relationship between the voter and the candidate.

-What differences do you see between this electoral campaign and that of two years ago?

-This campaign gives meaning to what we started in 2019, with many setbacks, but which made it possible for now there are so many economists on the lists and so much effervescence in liberal ideas. I feel great satisfaction for what we did in 2019, where liberalism stands. In addition, being very focused on the campaign, we obtained our own lists in 80% of the municipalities of the province, while two years ago we went with a short ballot. We make up a very good working group. We are on the list with Carolina Piparo, former Juntos por el Cambio; the president of the Ucedé, Hugo Bontempo; later Luis Green, who was Secretary of Borders with Patricia Bullrich; the Bahian teacher Karina García; Osvaldo Simiele, who is the president of the Rural Society of the province of Buenos Aires, among others.

-Carolina Piparo's pass was surprised, who left Juntos por el Cambio at the last minute.

-We met Carolina on the Mirtha Legrand program, hosted by Juana Viale, in April of last year.

The truth is that we hit the ground running, we had a very good relationship on camera and off camera.

We deepened the dialogue when I proposed that the enemy to defeat is Kirchnerism and I proposed a great STEP for all opposition to Kirchnerism, from which a single list would come out in the general elections.

She really liked that idea of defeating Kirchnerism now and not waiting until 2023. Then we consolidated the dialogue and this integration took place in our political space.

-Can you lose weight the division of the Buenos Aires vote with Juan José Gómez Centurión and Cynthia Hotton?

-In what is liberalism no, because it seems to me that Hotton and Centurion are with a monotheme, which is the celestial handkerchief and Malvinas. We are in something broader, as liberals, which is to bet that Argentina is not a gigantic slum. In Avanza Libertad we brought together three national parties, such as the Autonomist Party, the Democratic Party and the Ucedé, which are the three historic parties of liberalism, as well as United Republicans, the Libertarian Movement and a lot of neighborhood parties. We are all united liberals. To eliminate populism definitively from Argentina, it is important not only to beat Kirchnerism once, as Juntos por el Cambio did in 2015. A series of reforms must be carried out, since the only ones who have proposed that since 2019 are us. In the mother of all battles, which is the province of Buenos Aires, it is important to make a good choice now, in order to influence the presidential election of 2023.
