According to the police, three intruders broke into the cinema near Mintraching on Friday morning.

In this context, two men from North Rhine-Westphalia, aged 39 and 49, were arrested after the crime in Munich.

Another suspect fled.

The 42-year-old was arrested two days later when he turned himself in to the police.

Arrest warrants were issued against all three accused at the request of the Landshut public prosecutor's office.

Investigation group since the end of 2020

At the end of 2020, an investigation team was founded at Kripo Erding after a series of break-ins.

After extensive evaluations, this established connections between break-ins in banks, commercial properties and fire brigades in Upper and Lower Bavaria and Swabia.

“The perpetrators, who acted professionally and conspiratorially, had primarily specialized in opening ATMs and safes.

They mostly used brute force, which led to high damage to buildings, ”said the police.

In the course of the investigation, there were suspicions against a Freisinger.

With the support of search and external special forces, the Kripo implemented "operational measures" on the man that led to the arrests


Over 20 burglaries and 500,000 euros

According to the current state of the investigation, the three accused are charged with more than 20 break-ins.

These were perpetrated in Freising, Neufahrn, Dachau and Wolnzach, among others.

Around 500,000 euros were stolen here.

The police put the damage to ATMs, safes and buildings at around one million euros.
