The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health approved the experimental production of the Russian Sputnik anti-coronavirus vaccine in Lebanon.
The National News Agency stated that the Caretaker Health Minister, Hamad Hassan, gave the Lebanese Arwan Pharmaceutical Factory permission to import raw materials to produce three experimental meals for each of the two doses of the Sputnik vaccine to confirm that they meet the technical and health conditions according to the exact specifications required by the parent company, the Russian Investment Fund.
The agency added that in light of the results, the Lebanese Arwan factory becomes qualified to produce commercial vaccine meals.
Russia had the first to announce the production of the first anti-Corona vaccine in the world in August 2020, so that the Sputnik vaccine developed by the Gamalia Research Center for Epidemiology since that time became one of the most important and best 3 vaccines in the world.
Lebanon recorded two deaths and 1,224 new infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections across the country to 558,369 cases, while the total number of deaths rose to 7,897 cases.
