A Russian delegation headed by Andrei Avrov, First Deputy Chairman of the Customs Authority of the Russian Federation, was briefed on the mechanism of work in the departments of the Single Window Center in the port of Latakia, on the sidelines of the Syrian-Russian joint meeting to follow up on the work of the International Conference on the Return of Syrian Refugees and Displaced Persons currently being held at the Conferences Palace in Damascus.

The Russian delegation's tour included the import department, electronic manifest, auditing, detection, automation, export, informatics and an electronic scanning device within the port campus, where it listened to a detailed explanation about the procedures and stages related to clearing goods since their arrival at the port.

In a statement to reporters, Avrov indicated that the tour comes within the framework of the talks that started between the two sides in Damascus and cooperation agreements with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations and discussing the possibility of working to implement an electronic technical system for exchanging information about imported and exported goods.

In turn, Adib Al-Ali, Director of Lattakia Customs, indicated that the single window center is the place for clearing imported and exported goods by sea. The aim of this tour is to inform the Russian side about the mechanism of customs work in clearing goods starting from their arrival at the port.

Within the framework of scientific and medical cooperation between Syria and Russia, a Russian scientific medical delegation headed by Dr. Dmitriy Anatolyesh Liuznev, Director of the University of Respiratory Diseases at the University of Petersburg, was briefed during his visit to Tishreen University Hospital in Latakia on the nature of the services provided to patients, especially Corona patients.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Lyuznef explained that the purpose of the visit is to exchange information with Syrian doctors about the latest developments regarding the Corona virus and the most important findings in this field and to conduct joint scientific research between the two parties, pointing out that providing financial support to the health sector in Syria will continue, noting that the relations Between the two sides are open for scientific communication.

Lyuznef noted the level and efficiency of the Syrian medical staff and the advanced equipment, despite what happened and is happening in Syria, as this type of health policy in Syria helps to graduate qualified doctors, explaining that despite the difficult conditions that Syria is going through and the lack of equipment, especially medicines and materials necessary for examinations, but the determination of The ability of the Syrian doctors who do their work around the clock and to the fullest extent is remarkable and appreciated.

In turn, Dr. Ali Alloush, the medical director at Tishreen University Hospital, indicated in a similar statement that the importance of the visit lies in the transfer of information and technology that Russia advances to many countries in the world in the fight against the Corona virus, thus helping Syrian laboratories and hospitals to reach the best results, in addition to that The Russian delegation will help the hospital's medical staff in profiling coronaviruses and conducting joint research between Tishreen University Hospital and Russian hospitals.

Alloush pointed out that despite the unjust siege on the Syrian people, which prevents the supply of modern medical equipment, the hospital’s equipment is working well, in addition to the medical staff who are making great efforts in the fight against Corona.
