A young Palestinian wounded Wednesday (July 28th) by Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank died of his injuries, the Palestinian health ministry said in a statement.

The ministry announced that 12-year-old Mohamad al-Alami was killed in the town of Beit Omar northwest of Hebron.

He was seriously injured in the chest while in a car with his father, the ministry said.

A 41-year-old Palestinian was killed late Tuesday evening by Israeli gunfire at the entrance to a town in the occupied West Bank, the scene of clashes between protesters and Israeli forces in recent weeks, according to Palestinian officials.

On Saturday, a 17-year-old Palestinian teenager injured the day before in clashes with Israeli soldiers died of his injuries in hospital.

320 Palestinian wounded

The clashes pitted Palestinians demonstrating against Israeli colonization and Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank, leaving 320 Palestinians injured, the majority by tear gas, said the rescue services of the Palestinian Red Crescent.

The West Bank is a Palestinian territory occupied since 1967 by Israel and all Israeli settlements there are considered illegal under international law. More than 470,000 people now live in Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
