“You rocked it!” With these words, Moosburg's Realschule Rector Wolfgang Korn said goodbye to 165 graduates on Thursday - in a total of six graduation ceremonies.

His message was the same for all classes: "You did it really, really well."

Moosburg

- After two extraordinary school years, the graduation ceremony of the Moosburg Realschule on Thursday was also extraordinary: Every hour, each class was bid farewell in the Moosburg town hall - in the presence of the families of the graduates and some teachers.

District administrator Helmut Petz, Moosburg's mayor Josef Dollinger and pastoral advisor Markus John were not personally present, but they sent congratulations and short messages via video.

District Administrator Petz emphasized that the students “have every reason to be proud of themselves”.

With the successful graduation “the door to a new phase of life was opened”.

Now there are "many opportunities for young people to find themselves again".

Josef Dollinger emphasized that the graduates “mastered all the disadvantages of the pandemic” and “achieved an excellent performance”.

Now “the course has been set for the future”, and he was certain that the graduates would find a way and that they would go it successfully.

But now the "time to relax and celebrate" has come for the students - they deserve it.

Vice-Rector Michael Wagensohner looked back 500 days - at the time when the corona pandemic began and “you achieved something extraordinary”.

Despite all the difficulties such as school closings, online and alternating classes, the graduates achieved a “very good graduation”.

His praise went not only to the students, but also to the parents and teachers “for their great commitment”.

Headmaster Wolfgang Korn looked back on the start when "the adventure began" six years ago and was proud of what had become of the students.

His wish for graduates: "Have the courage to intervene when people spread hatred", "Show us what you can do in the future too" and "take care of yourselves".

He also wished everyone “good luck, good luck, satisfaction and health” and added: “Don't forget the secondary school.”

That this will be the case, emphasized the student representative Louisa Opel: In the past few years the school has been more than just a building: it is rather a place of ideas and experiences, of people and friends, of laughing and learning.

You leave school with a laughing and a crying eye - and full of pride, because: "We have achieved our goal."

Even if the supporting program of the celebrations had to be smaller this year, teachers and students insisted on saying goodbye to the tenth grade: a group of teachers said goodbye to the students with a music video, and German and geo teacher Tamara Kreilinger sang live on stage for the graduates - accompanied by math and chemistry teacher Christian Fritz.

After one hour each, the celebrations ended, including handing over certificates, distributing gifts and eulogies - and the musical greeting of the wind class (for the first three celebrations) or the school brass orchestra Kastulus-Brass (celebrations four to six) under the direction of Martin Neubauer, who played before Stadthalle played for the guests.

The Moosburg high school graduates were officially bid farewell, as were the graduates of the M-Zug at the Moosburg Middle School.
