The life of a private investigator, as you can imagine, is full of interest.

The work requires him to be alert, creative and resourceful, and to respond at all times to what is happening on the ground.

This ability of the private investigator is used by him for the benefit of a quick retrieval of a cover story in case of need, but in many cases creating a cover story actually requires advance preparation, detailed planning and a lot of thought.

One of the most important capabilities of a professional investigative firm is the ability to make a "cover entry" - entering a private home, business or anywhere else, in order to find out more details about the person being monitored.

In order to make an entry into chance, a cover story is required that will allow researchers to delve deeper into the truth without arousing suspicion.

Why is it necessary to enter the cover?

Take for example a relatively simple follow-up, commissioned by a man who suspects his wife is cheating on him.

When investigators track down the woman, they will find that she arrives at a private building and enters it.

Their purpose is to find out as much information as possible about what the woman is doing in the same building, in order to assist the husband later on, if he wants to use the evidence gathered against her in court.

If investigators are stopped at the front door of the building, they will have no real proof of the woman's actions, but if they can enter the apartment where she is under one pretext or another, find out details about who lives in the apartment and the nature of the relationship between them.

There is always a cover story ready

While the investigators' ability to improvise, be creative and resourceful is important and helpful, an investigative firm that relies solely on these features of its investigators will find it difficult to make cover visits without arousing the suspicion of those involved. In the example above, an unskilled and unprepared investigator will remain outside the lobby door of the building and as stated, will not be able to provide the client with unequivocal evidence. An experienced and professional investigator, on the other hand, will always be prepared with a cover story that he can pull out not only in order to enter the building but even into the apartment itself into which the interrogee entered.

In other cases, in order to enter the cover properly, it will require in-depth planning and building a ready-made plan to the last detail. Only in this way will the investigators be able to obtain legally useful information, and present to the person ordering the investigation, in the end, admissible evidence for use in court.

This happened, for example, in the case of a husband who suspected that his ex-wife was beating the children. Installing cameras in the apartment and photographing the woman without her knowledge are not possible by law and therefore were not taken into account at all. This does not leave many choices in the hands of an unskilled researcher, who can, at most, try to stay in the home area and listen to what is going on inside.

The way we chose to handle the case is with a cover story according to which we are interested in conducting a TMA in the building and requesting information about the property. At home with the children (which we saw, of course, in advance). While we were at home, we did not encounter any violence, but we clearly saw that the house was very neglected and we witnessed a very unpleasant way in which she approached one of the children. In another case, for example, where we pretended to be street cleaners, we were able to help a worried mother get information about her adolescent son's actions, the friends he spends time with after school, and their actions.

If you need the services of an investigative office, make sure that covered entry is an integral part of the office's capabilities and that the investigators' daily routine includes making different types of entry, on a regular basis.

In addition, make sure that this is a licensed investigative firm, to ensure that the findings are collected legally.
