Zolling

- "It is not the mind that matters, but what guides it." With a wisdom from the Russian writer Fyodor M. Dostoyevsky, the graduates of the Zolling Middle School were bid farewell on Wednesday. 58 students started their intermediate school leaving certificate in the 10th grade, and 31 in the ninth grade faced the challenges of the qualifying school leaving certificate (Quali). There was much praise for the school leavers from headmaster Thomas Dittmeyer and mayor Helmut Priller.

A very excellent year could look forward to their certificates at the small ceremony in the Zollinger school gymnasium. Of the 58 school leavers who had aspired to the intermediate educational qualification, 57 passed. A proud 98 percent, as Dittmeyer noted. In the ninth grade, 18 out of 31 registered participants passed the “Quali”. All in all, 25 out of 31 made the final spurt in the 9th grade, as the two class leaders Carolin Trost and Carola Eggensberger proudly announced. Despite the times of uncertainty, the students managed to join forces. Learning on the digital path also challenged the parents, reminded Mayor Helmut Priller. “The living rooms have become classrooms, the parents become educators.” All paths are now open to well-educated young people. However, never stop learning. You don't learn for school, but for life, quoted the head of the community in Zollingen, quoting the Roman philosopher Seneca.

Parents' Advisory Board Chairman Markus Binner compared his school days with a “training time”.

In life it sometimes goes "up" and sometimes "up", he said.

"Never lose sight of the goal." And: "Let the beautiful things in life." Direct the focus there, he advised.

Headmaster Thomas Dittmeyer could only confirm that.

“Keep your eyes open and focus on what's coming.” Life is full of second and third opportunities.

“Success and failure are part of it,” says Dittmeyer.

“The school family is proud of you,” he affirmed.

The educator also expressly thanked the parents, who had been challenged during the time of the digital lessons.

And: “Keep in touch with each other,” the headmaster advised his outgoing students.

Her teachers should have mustered “a lot of strength” for her.

We want to thank you for that, said the two spokesmen for the 9th grade, Cheyenne Schmeidl and Mürsel Acikgöz, as well as Cecile Rosenberger (10 Mc) and Tobias Edmaier (10 Ma).

“Our teachers mean a lot to us,” revealed the graduates.

The school's religious educators, Kathrin Stuhlmeier, Marion Martinez-Mateos and Gunther Roth, heralded the discharge ceremony with a meditative impulse and donated a blessing to the graduates for the transition into the new phase of life.

Parents' council chairman Markus Binner said: "Now let's celebrate."
