The Belgian Foreign Ministry announced that spyware had been discovered at its embassy in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
A spokesman for the ministry explained that a security incident occurred inside the embassy last May, as a result of which it was discovered that she was being spied on, pointing out that recordings, videos and audio files were seized in various places in the embassy.
The spokesman said that the Belgian authorities opened an investigation into the incident after identifying a person suspected of involvement in this operation, noting that Belgium had submitted a complaint to the Turkish regime about this issue.
And the media reported that the suspect in this operation is a guard at the embassy, but the Belgian Foreign Ministry neither confirmed nor denied this information.
