The average incidence rate in the region is 104 per 100,000 inhabitants (against 189 at the national level), "
with departmental disparities
", from 157 in the Bas-Rhin to 29 in the Ardennes, a less populated department where interactions are less strong, said the director general of ARS Grand Est, Virginie Cayré.
In Strasbourg, "

", with an incidence rate of over 250, against 230 in the Eurometropolis which brings together the Alsatian capital and around thirty neighboring municipalities, according to Josiane Chevalier.

The prefect this week took a decree which makes it compulsory in the Bas-Rhin to wear a mask in places subject to health passes and prohibits the sale and consumption of alcohol on public roads in Strasbourg.
